Read through it and just follow the things you want to believe. Remember, each person has his/her own needs/wants/beliefs.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;   1. Take a 10-30 minute walk every day. And while you walk, smile. It is the ultimate anti-depressant.&lt;br /&gt;   2. Sit in silence for at least 10 minutes each day.&lt;br /&gt;   3. Buy a DVR and tape your late night shows and get more sleep.&lt;br /&gt;   4. When you wake up in the morning complete the following statement, ‘My purpose is to __________ today.’&lt;br /&gt;   5. Live with the 3 E’s — Energy, Enthusiasm, and Empathy.&lt;br /&gt;   6. Play more games and read more books than you did in 2007.&lt;br /&gt;   7. Make time to practice meditation, and prayer. They provide us with daily fuel for our busy lives.&lt;br /&gt;   8. Spend time with people over the age of 70 and under the age of 6.&lt;br /&gt;   9. Dream more while you are awake.&lt;br /&gt;  10. Eat more foods that grow on trees and plants and eat less food that is manufactured in plants.&lt;br /&gt;  11. Drink green tea and plenty of water. Eat blueberries, wild Alaskan salmon, broccoli, almonds &amp; walnuts.&lt;br /&gt;  12. Try to make at least three people smile each day.&lt;br /&gt;  13. Clear clutter from your house, your car, your desk and let new and flowing energy into your life.&lt;br /&gt;  14. Don’t waste your precious energy on gossip, OR issues of the past, negative thoughts or things you cannot control. Instead invest your energy in the positive present moment.&lt;br /&gt;  15. Realize that life is a school and you are here to learn. Problems are simply part of the curriculum that appear and fade away like algebra class but the lessons you learn will last a lifetime.&lt;br /&gt;  16. Eat breakfast like a king, lunch like a prince and dinner like a college kid with a maxed out charge card.&lt;br /&gt;  17. Smile and laugh more. It will keep the nagative blues away.&lt;br /&gt;  18. Life isn’t fair, but it’s still good.&lt;br /&gt;  19. Life is too short to waste time hating anyone.&lt;br /&gt;  20. Don’t take yourself so seriously. No one else does.&lt;br /&gt;      Next 20 after the jump.&lt;br /&gt;  21. You don’t have to win every argument. Agree to disagree.&lt;br /&gt;  22. Make peace with your past so it won’t spoil the present.&lt;br /&gt;  23. Don’t compare your life to others’. You have no idea what their journey is all about.&lt;br /&gt;  24. No one is in charge of your happiness except you.&lt;br /&gt;  25. Frame every so-called disaster with these words: ‘In five years, will this matter?’&lt;br /&gt;  26. Forgive everyone for everything.&lt;br /&gt;  27. What other people think of you is none of your business.&lt;br /&gt;  28. Remember God heals everything.&lt;br /&gt;  29. However good or bad a situation is, it will change.&lt;br /&gt;  30. Your job won’t take care of you when you are sick. Your friends will. Stay in touch.&lt;br /&gt;  31. Get rid of anything that isn’t useful, beautiful or joyful.&lt;br /&gt;  32. Envy is a waste of time. You already have all you need.&lt;br /&gt;  33. The best is yet to come.&lt;br /&gt;  34. No matter how you feel, get up, dress up and show up.&lt;br /&gt;  35. Do the right thing!&lt;br /&gt;  36. Call your family often.&lt;br /&gt;  37. Each night before you go to bed complete the following statements: I am thankful for _______. Today I accomplished ____.&lt;br /&gt;  38. Remember that you are too blessed to be stressed.&lt;br /&gt;  39. Enjoy the ride. Remember this is not Disney World and you certainly don’t want a fast pass. You only have one ride through life so make the most of it and enjoy the ride.&lt;br /&gt;  40. Look within.&lt;br /&gt;Whether you choose an organized religion or a more individual practice, the spiritual journey is a personal one. To begin, search within and ask, What do I want out of life? Why am I here -- what is my purpose? Reflect on what spirituality means to you and what role you want it to play in your life, and you'll have a better sense of how to embark on your own path.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;2. Be present.&lt;br /&gt;Instead of dwelling on the past or worrying about the future, slow down, tap into your feelings as they unfold, and find the beauty in the now, whether from a friend's laugh or a starry night. It doesn't matter which relaxation technique you choose. What matters is that you try to practice relaxation regularly to reap the benefits. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;There are several main types of relaxation techniques, including: &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Autogenic relaxation. Autogenic means something that comes from within you. In this relaxation technique, you use both visual imagery and body awareness to reduce stress. You repeat words or suggestions in your mind to help you relax and reduce muscle tension. You may imagine a peaceful place and then focus on controlled, relaxing breathing, slowing your heart rate, or feeling different physical sensations, such as relaxing each arm or leg one by one.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Progressive muscle relaxation. In this relaxation technique, you focus on slowly tensing and then relaxing each muscle group. This helps you focus on the difference between muscle tension and relaxation. You become more aware of physical sensations. One method is to start by tensing and relaxing the muscles in your toes and progressively working your way up to your neck and head. Tense your muscles for at least five seconds and then relax for 30 seconds, and repeat.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Visualization. In this relaxation technique, you form mental images to take a visual journey to a peaceful, calming place or situation. During visualization, try to use as many senses as you can, including smell, sight, sound and touch. If you imagine relaxing at the ocean, for instance, think about such things as the smell of salt water, the sound of crashing waves and the warmth of the sun on your body. That is why we usually give up before we get our well&lt;br /&gt;deserved rewards. &lt;br /&gt;When you are sure of what you want, do not give up - ever!&lt;br /&gt;Nugget - Have a Plan&lt;br /&gt;You must have heard the saying: If you fail to plan, you plan to&lt;br /&gt;fail. I know that you want to succeed as that is the reason why you&lt;br /&gt;are here but fact is, only about 5% of the populations has written&lt;br /&gt;down goals and even less have a plan for achieving them. &lt;br /&gt;You want to make sure you are one of the 5%!&lt;br /&gt; &lt;br /&gt;Most of the time I will send you something actionable. You can just&lt;br /&gt;read it and think about it or you can actually put it into action&lt;br /&gt;and see how it changes your life. Not all at once but one step at&lt;br /&gt;the time. Are you even aware of whether or not your life is balanced? If you answered 'no' to either question, that could all change this week, as it is now 'Balance Awareness Week'. This is the one week out of the year where you can 'officially' celebrate by looking at your life and really thinking about whether or not it's balanced, and then looking a little further to identify the areas where you may be out-of-balance. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;If you do these two things, I'm betting you'll feel inspired and ambitious enough to go the distance and make a few healthy changes in your lifestyle to create greater balance and harmony. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;This isn't about cutting out things that are important (or berating yourself for just how out-of-balance things have become!), but rather about de-cluttering your schedule, letting go of things--time commitments, and perhaps even toxic relationships--that aren't serving you and fitting well with your goals. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;More importantly, it's about making space in your life for the things that truly matter to you! &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I have studied a program called the artists way. The premise is that every week you go by yourself to enjoy an activity yoiu really want to do. Like going on  date by yourself. The idea is to have fun and explore your creative side.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;A lot of people deny their creative side. I heard a woman yesterday say&lt;br /&gt;Oh no I'm just not creative that's not me. Well its sad because shes not living a whole life. She is very out of balance. And anyway its just a myth we are all creative. As a kid if I gave her some crayons she would most likely scribble away and create a childs masterpiece. She has just forgotten or believed what other people have told her. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;As Osho said " If you are doing something you dont like, then just STOP" &lt;br /&gt;Its just a question of being aware and remebering whats important to your happiness and joy.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;So let's all celebrate together, shall we? I invite you to take a moment to look at your life, and see what might be better balanced, and then take the first steps between here and there--if you take the first baby steps, momentum can build, and you can have a lifestyle that's better suited to your wants, needs and emotional wellbeing. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;You can do this by making a list of incompletes.&lt;br /&gt;Then ask do I want or need to complete this or carry on with this activity. &lt;br /&gt;What would make me happier? Notice what you are doing in your life or remember the happiest times of your life and jot them down. Establish the happiness baseline.&lt;br /&gt;  &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Life then bowls a challenge at you.&lt;br /&gt;Something else happens &lt;br /&gt;The negative chat starts and uh oh!&lt;br /&gt;You dip below that level.&lt;br /&gt;and the skittles are knocked over.&lt;br /&gt; &lt;br /&gt;How do you get back up &lt;br /&gt;and on the road to happiness in the blink of an eye.&lt;br /&gt; &lt;br /&gt;This is how I do it and I feel it will work for you too. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt; &lt;br /&gt;This is VERY IMPORTANT when its all going pear shaped and you don't feel good&lt;br /&gt;you must ..&lt;br /&gt;STOP&lt;br /&gt;REST, &lt;br /&gt;RECHARGE, &lt;br /&gt;ACCEPT &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;LISTEN, &lt;br /&gt;ASK FOR HELP - (this can be your B2B plan) &lt;br /&gt;then ACT&lt;br /&gt; &lt;br /&gt;If you are feeling angry or upset or depressed, hurt whatever, get it out of your head and onto paper&lt;br /&gt;Write honestly and quickly. I mean really fast, as fast as the thoughts arrive. You'll know if you are doing it right &lt;br /&gt;because you will find it hard to keep up and will be out of breath and the writing willbe almost illegible.&lt;br /&gt;Once all the crap has left your mind you are now ready to use Your Back to Basics plan . Keep writing until positive stuff comes out and you notice hmm thats a good idea or inspiring stuff appears. Congratulations you have changed your state massively by doing this.&lt;br /&gt;   &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Heres how to create your Back to Basics Plan. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt; &lt;br /&gt;There are 3 categories I believe exist in everybody's life,&lt;br /&gt;they are &lt;br /&gt;MIND, BODY &amp; SOUL&lt;br /&gt;Heck it's my company slogan I love it so much.&lt;br /&gt; &lt;br /&gt;So I made a list of all the things that INSPIRE&lt;br /&gt;My MIND&lt;br /&gt; &lt;br /&gt;Then I made list of  all the things that ENERGISE&lt;br /&gt;My Body&lt;br /&gt; &lt;br /&gt;And lastly all the things that REFRESH&lt;br /&gt;My SOUL&lt;br /&gt; &lt;br /&gt;So make list of 10 things in each. More if you wish.&lt;br /&gt;Go ahead write them down. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt; &lt;br /&gt;So ask yourself what will it take to give me more ….&lt;br /&gt;What truly makes me happy or would make me happy in each of these 3 areas..&lt;br /&gt; &lt;br /&gt;Let me give you an example&lt;br /&gt; &lt;br /&gt;For me it was&lt;br /&gt; &lt;br /&gt;MIND &lt;br /&gt;Inspiring audio programs.&lt;br /&gt;Read a good book&lt;br /&gt;Teach or mentor someone&lt;br /&gt; &lt;br /&gt;BODY &lt;br /&gt;Go for a run&lt;br /&gt;Sleep well&lt;br /&gt;Eat more Veg&lt;br /&gt; &lt;br /&gt;SOUL&lt;br /&gt;Be more sociable&lt;br /&gt;Go to church&lt;br /&gt;Give a charity donation&lt;br /&gt;Write a poem&lt;br /&gt;Spend time with family&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt; &lt;br /&gt;That’s just to get you started &lt;br /&gt; &lt;br /&gt;So you need to get a list of values and actions &lt;br /&gt;and results so that next time you are below par &lt;br /&gt;you can spring right back up by FOCUSSING on the area that’s in lack.&lt;br /&gt; &lt;br /&gt;HINT they are all connected so there may be some overlap &lt;br /&gt; &lt;br /&gt;Have fun with this! &lt;br /&gt;Be open and trust your Unconscious Mind to give you the answers.&lt;br /&gt; &lt;br /&gt;Now Write them out &lt;br /&gt;And decorate them and make it attractive to you.&lt;br /&gt;Label it along the lines of "Back to Basics" &lt;br /&gt;The recipe to ..”How I can feel great anytime”&lt;br /&gt; &lt;br /&gt;Put it in a prominent place. You could even laminate it and put it in your wallet or purse.&lt;br /&gt;Next time life gets on top of you pull it out, scan it and choose one of the activities.&lt;br /&gt;You will be right as rain in no time.&lt;br /&gt; &lt;br /&gt;After a while you will train your mind to automatically do this. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;It's powerful stuff&lt;br /&gt; &lt;br /&gt;In the words of Jim Rohn &lt;br /&gt;Let’s do this!&lt;br /&gt; It is believed that a lack of sunshine reduces levels of the 'happy chemical' serotonin in the brain. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Martin Salvage (pictured), a 59 year-old artist, spent so much time driving in the dark he began to develop symptoms characteristic of Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD). However, rather than give up on a job he loved, Martin was determined to find a solution...&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;“I used to teach Art at at a college some 75 miles away from where I live. This would mean getting up at 5am when it was still dark and returning home at 6pm, when it was dark, a daily roundtrip of 150 miles, five days a week, in the dark!” &lt;br /&gt;Light-starved existence&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;“Continuing as I was it wasn't long before my light-starved existence began to take its toll on my health. I started to feel very lethargic and quite low, which is typical of SAD. I then read about Rhodiola rosea. It wasn't as well known as conventional antidepressants, but the research so far had been encouraging and so I decided to give it a go.” &lt;br /&gt;Rhodiola rosea - A natural mood-booster&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;The Russian adaptogenic herb, Rhodiola rosea has a considerable fan base for its ability to support the adrenal system in times of stress, boost libido, increase stamina and generally generate a feeling of wellbeing. Active compounds found within rhodiola (rosavin and salidroside) improve the passage of serotonin precursors through the blood-brain barrier. Rhodiola can increase serotonin by 30%. &lt;br /&gt;Martin continues: “Within just a couple of days I felt a difference; I had more energy and wasn't nearly as tired as I used to be, which consequently led to an improvement in my mood. Since my recent retirement, I no longer need to make the 150 mile roundtrip in the dark, instead I paint full time, but I will be taking Rhodiola again as soon as the nights draw in.”&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Prozac, St John's Wort and Rhodiola – different actions&lt;br /&gt;We have seen that depression can be due to low levels of serotonin. Prozac is in a class of drugs known as selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors (SSRIs). In simple terms, Prozac effectively puts a cork on the cell, blocking the reabsorption of serotonin. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;St John's Wort has a gentler action. It is a MAO inhibitor. Monoamine oxidase is an enzyme that breaks down serotonin and therefore the action of inhibiting MAO preserves serotonin levels. Rhodiola effects a balancing action on serotonin by enhancing the production, distribution and uptake of key nutrients essential for the production of serotonin in the brain. Getting outdoors as much as possible on brighter days, adding a vitamin D supplement and, possibly, investing in a light therapy box will also be helpful. It is thought that Rhodiola is most effective when taken alongside a B-Complex.&lt;div class="blogger-post-footer"&gt;&lt;img width='1' height='1' type='text'>Acting Workshop Learnings</title><content type='html'>I had a great time at my friends Drama/acting workshop the other day.&lt;br /&gt;It was so amazing and heres why...&lt;br /&gt;When we started all of us were so self conscious and well within our comfort zones.&lt;br /&gt;After a few warm up exercises I felt like a performing animal. We were made to go fast slow fast slow and all the time imagining we were hot cold heavy light. It was a really good exercise in state management. Strange thing is as the day progressed I was beginning to leave my brain outside the door. Francois a fine director encourgaed us to be stupid. Leave our brains at home. Don't question be the character! &lt;br /&gt;It dawned on me each exercise was a metaphor for life. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Here's what I learned &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;If you want to be a character and be believable you must know ..&lt;br /&gt;where you have come from, where you are and where you are going.&lt;br /&gt;leave your brain at home react with genuine emotion. &lt;br /&gt;Be alert aware and breath deeply.&lt;br /&gt;If you believe and imagine hard enough your audience will follow.&lt;br /&gt;Imagination can be great fun. Be precise when you imagine. (full formal wear)&lt;br /&gt;We were not allowed   to take our jackets off. Anyway I loved mine and I looked fabulous.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;My reading to about 120 people followed the announcing of the marriage.&lt;br /&gt;I wasokay and breathing and going into peripreal vision. When Suddenly the room whooshed with a genuine sudden outpouring of love and compassion. With that half the room burst into tears including me! I wasnt trained how to speak and cry at NLP school.&lt;br /&gt;I considered a joke " Im not crying just sweating through my eyes" dodnt seem appropriate  at that time.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Seriously though what happens  if its really emotional.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;So Top tips I found useful&lt;br /&gt;Breathe deeper into the stomach and smile.&lt;br /&gt;Look Up&lt;br /&gt;Make sure there is a glass of water and take a sip&lt;br /&gt;Have a resource anchor&lt;br /&gt;Remember everyone is supporting you and wants your speech to go well.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Rehearse rehearse rehearse ...&lt;br /&gt;If you know it and you get stuck your subconscious will retrieve it.&lt;br /&gt;Enjoy&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;My reading was received well so I am publishing here Enjoy.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;table style="width: 527.4pt; So i am going to oraganise the Guildford NLP Practice Group&lt;br /&gt;through Innerzest.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Meanwhile I am running a 1 day intro to NLP which newcomers must take before they cab attend the practice group.
